I've got Timberstone Quest vinyl double 4 shiplap http://www.mastic.com on my new house, and it is one of the nicer looking vinyl sidings that I have seen. Instead of being a solid color, it has a heather like coloring pattern which gives the color more depth, but it IS vinyl siding when all is said and done.

A few pics of the siding here - though no close ups
