Hey People!
My name is Joe Martino and I am working with a group of peers to build a passive solar greenhouse at the Evergreen State College in WA state. I am curious to know if anyone would like to take a look at the design dictations we have developed thus far, perhaps tear em apart and send my sore a** in the direction of further research, thoughts and considerations?
If you would like to know more about myself or the project before contacting me, please visit our website www.foodforgenerations.com. Our scope statement can be found by scrolling over the Food Systems header at the top left of the homepage, and clicking on the link marked Evergreen Aquaponics Greenhouse.
Can't wait to hear from ya!
Joe

Did you want that in-ground fish pond to lose heat (act as a radiator) or retain heat from the system? |

The pond was placed in the ground by the project's old guard, and we have been trying to figure out how it could best be used. It is on the south wall of the structure, so as far as acting as a radiator, I'm not sure how effective it would be. The idea with burying it from what I understand was to allow the pond to maintain a consistent 56 deg temp, as we plan to use fish native to WA state, which tend towards colder temps. Any advice, any thoughts, very open to suggestions and guidance. Thank you for your response.

Okay, so it's not much of an issue. I didn't know you guys were using cold-water fish. You do realize that biological systems are quite a bit more productive at warmer temperatures, right? |
