Hello:
My not-so-super-insulated house is down to the finishing steps.
I will be installing pre-finished hardwood flooring, 3/4" thick.
Do I install the door frames & baseboards first, or, should I install the flooring first?
As an aside, I am able to heat the whole 1,270 sf single-story house (including the crawl-space) with the 10,400 to 27,600 BTU fireplace thanks to the R-30 (Roxul) walls & R-60 (cellulose) attic insulation and triple-glazed windows. (even when it is really cold up here in Canada).
I have not yet done a blower test and am curious to see just how well it is sealed, given my mutinous crew and their aversion to the 'merde noire' AKA: black acoustic sealant made by LePage.
Thanks for any advice on this question,
Rob.
