Hi everybody!! Newbie here, and just wanted to avail myself of the wisdom of crowds on the topic of standard polycarb conservatory roofs. My daughter's place has a large one, and as it's an open-plan extension to the kitchen it's distinctly parky at the moment!! I'd assume a more thermally effective roof would be well worth considering when pennies allow, and there are plenty of companies hawking these very wares. Anyone any experience of this issue and how to improve if not resolve the problem?? Obviously the foundations won't be substantial (not investigated yet) but surely even lightweight founds would support timber joists stuffed with insulation, maybe cedar shingle top?? A couple of Veluxes too if poss. All thoughts gratefully received. Cheers, Tim
