I've used Sika products twice, neither of which was ws295, in situations requiring extreme flexibility. Sikaflex is a caulk for steel roofing, which is subject to considerable expansion and contraction. The second, Sikabond, is a glue for hardwood flooring, also formulated to handle movement. Sikaflex was the go-to caulk for my roofers, and its floor glue was one of three recommended by Warmboard for adhering hardwood over radiant. The product sheet for ws295 lists glass-to-glass and window uses as well as masonry sealing, and it also discusses movement. https://can.sika.com/content/dam/Canada/Main/01_General/PUB_Documents/SikasilBrochE_fpo.pdf I'm guessing this is silicone with extra stretch. I don't know why it wouldn't substitute for GE Silicone II in general caulking. |
