My wife and I are getting plans developed as I type and I'm convinced ICF is the way to go.  Locally they are catching on very well.  We have 3 active suppliers....Nudura, Greenblock and Amvic. I know different builders/contractors from each camp.  Just so happens that the Amvic forms are manufactured 5 miles away at Diversified Plastics.   Pay  Canada,  go over and pick up the forms.  No shipping, easy returns.

Anyone have experience with Amvic or the other two that might want to chime in on how it went.

None of the builders are ones we would have chosen if we were to build a stick built, but I feel like we need to stick with the guys with experience from start to finish.  I would hate to break in  new builder on our project. Comments?  Thanks.

Any tips you guys might pass along would be appreciated.

There is a network of qualified installers available, go to www.chesapeakeintegraspec.com if you are in the DelMarVa region. if not  ask for references and then call the references. Make sure they are certified by the ICF distributor they using.

No, I live in Michigan but Diversified manufactures Build Block there in Nixa. Out of the brands you specified it is the only form that bonds in 1" Increments and is American owned.

Interesting.  Did not know that.  I will have to stop by the plant and see if I can get a look see.  I wanted something with strong local support and easy access if I need blocks.  Thanks for the feedback.

Checked the BuildBlock site....no Missouri Distributor.  Ironic.  Made 5 miles from my home and no locals to help.   Oh well.  I wonder how much difference there is between the Amvic and BuildBlock.

You can buy directly from Buildblock, great block built four full homes in 2006 and six additional basements. Easily adapts to one inch inrements only had one project with vertical seems only because of odd angle in wall.
