I am planning to use the benefits of ICF construction on our future home in Florida; I have spoken to a few people and visited many sites that describe the process of adhering stucco finish to eps/xps foam. Are there any ICF systems where the stucco may be directly applied, say where the exterior of the form is made of a cement based material which stucco would be applied to easily? Thanks to all for any replies.

Mr. Pecora,

Look at the comments dated 2-15-07 that are posted under the Residential forum that deal with T-Mass Technology.

Stucco should be applicable to most if not all ICF's. It would depend on the type of stucco? synthetic or cement based? The synthetic will be direct applied with a fiber base mesh, and concrete to a wire based mesh. Go with which ever type is prevalent their on today's homes.
