I am building an icf house in Manitoba, Canada. I have heard discussions on this forum of Maxx Wall synthetic stucco and would like to know if anyone has used it in a cold environment (up to -40C) and how well it stood up. I like the fact that the homeowner can do this application.

Larry
On this site you typically get enormous amounts of info from participants.

However, constant freebie advertising, and exorbitant "savings" claims have no business here!

I have not used the maxx stucco system, however, claims that a homeowner can do it are nefarious at best. The installation issue is whether someone is "CAPABLE" of installing any system resulting in a fine finished product....not some finished result which looks like an art class did it! You may be able to do stucco and drywall finishes, I don't know, but read between the lines when it says "anyone" can do it!

If interested, perhaps you will find a way to contact me, and I will provide you the actual data and photos.

It still amaze me to learn after so many years there are still people like you who without prior knowledge of any concept still stand around and argue about things that can be done.

Not to say you are still undoubtedly fighting to stay alive in an industry that we started first, not to mention that the system we have complements any construction , ICF or not.

New ideas are wonderful! Posting that same letter in many threads here is irritating.
