I have been looking into the Thermomass wall system for a little while now.

I am looking into building a 2-storey with basement home, and leaving the concrete walls exposed (in most areas) on both the exterior and interior surfaces.

I was wondering though -- are there any waterproofing requirements for the above-grade walls? Obviously below-grade a Rub-R-Wall type of material, as it will be backfilled after.  But what about the above-grade?  Can the exterior walls just remain as concrete-insulation-concrete??

Thanks!

I believe concrete mixes over 5500 psi are considered waterproof. However, concrete still cracks, it's only a matter of when!

Thanks Jim.

That's what I thought... I'm just going to have to design with control joints in mind!
