Has anyone used or heard feedback about this product?  The company website claims it is formulated to be applied directly to exterior ICF forms as a subsitute for standard building paper + 3 coast stucco, it is 'virtually crack and impact resistant' and is a 'green' product.

I'm very familiar. We have used it on some commercial and residential applications in the Valley of Texas. It is hard as nails in terms of impact resistance. We used it as the basecoat with an acrylic finish. I have pics on request. If and when I build a new house, this material will be on the exterior and interior walls.

I heard it was magnesium oxychloride. Any issues with the chloride corroding anything??

Brings up a derivative question -- utilities, especially wiring.

If you use a direct plaster (e.g. Gigacrete) rather than sheathe with drywall first, does it impact the practice of trenching the foam for electrical cabling?

According to their website, the stuccomax product isn't available; only the plastermax products are...

PlasterMax-ICF Base Coat meets US codes and is NOT corrosive, in fact it is less corrosive than USG's interior plaster which has been out for 20 years or more.  No issues with wiring or face plates or frames.  New StuccoMax will be out by end of year hopefully.  PlasterMax-ICF is helping the ICF industry get over the "don't want gyp board on my project" hurdle.  Schools and Military in particular.

Ian, I am also interested in the experiances you have had with Plastermax - ICF. Is it as easy to use as they show? And do most local codes let you use it in place of sheet rock for the fire rating?

Hopefully, anyone with experience with these products will keep this forum up to date as I am also extremely interested in potentially utilizing them on my project early next year. Hope to see some of you at Orlando ICFA Nov.4-5. Regarding ballistics, we have been approved as a level 1 (9mm) ballistic coating by H.P. White Laboratories, used by the Govt as a testing lab for accreditation.  Ask the other guys to duplicate this one.  Level 8 (AK47 is next) which we have done in house many times but now want third party accreditation.

I can't find anything on the website about perm rating.  Is it available?
