What is the minimum amount of time after pour that I can install peel and stick.  I have a small frost wall in a remote location and want to minimize my travel so am trying to coordinate that in as few trips as possible.
Thanks

Sometimes I will install the 'peel and stick' before the pour when all of the blocks are nice and clean as well as the footing, also it sure does help hold all the outside corners together during the pour!!

Well I was wondering about that because I had been told once that it was okay to do it before the pour, but then had also been told that I couldn't do that.  It would be great to do it that way if possible because i could be in and out.  Is this legit, are there any reasons it would not be a good idea or good practice.

Thanks

None that I can think of. When you put it on use Tuck Tape to seal the top of the peel and stick to your wall.

Just for curiosity sake, do you remember who told you that you couldn't do it and why? what was their reason behind it??

BBICF,

We have pre-applied peel and stick also in situations were you are to close to an obstruction like rock, high wall, another structure and so on to safely get in and apply it afterwards.  It works well and there really isn't a problem with it that I have found or can think of.  You do need to properly apply it to the manufacturers recommendations so there is no problem.

What about at a common joint or where you may be strapping, would you still strap them and if so would you do it over the peel and stick, I can't imagine you would strap under it, would the screw holes create a problem or would you go back after and fix them up.

At the points where you need to strap I would stop the 'peel and stick', start again on the other side of it and keep going. Then after the pour you would only have a few spots to do. I know that it is not a perfect system, but nothing is perfect!!!
