I'll say one thing for TWR (no matter which username he decides to post under at any given time) He's certainly strong on personal insults, particularly when he realizes that he's out gunned.

As for his, again insulting, statement "Before I shocked him into looking at things, he surely did not know about the formaldehyde issue ........................." (Actually, I've only been aware of the NON FORMALDEHYDE ISSUE in connection with OSB SIPS since I first became involved with SIPS in 1992).............I wonder if he really thinks that I haven't dealt with this issue at homeshows, "Green" events, presentations to "Green" organizations, architects, engineers, developers, building departments, individuals, etc.

Then he goes into his tired old rant about "embalming fluid/firewood houses, bugs, mold, mildew.............girls they run with... (what does that mean?)...........etc etc. And, what does any of that have to do with the ICF forum, and this thread in particular? I think that he may have forgotten that, when he's posting on this forum, he should rant about his "EPS is Nalpalm" theory.

Now, I really don't think that TWR is a "Stupid" individual but As I am sometimes known to say "Stupid is as Stupid Says".

In the meantime, I have a suggestion, why doesn't TWR start a thread/threads, on the "General-Residential" forum on this website, that describe the methods, systems, materials, etc that he's utilizing, or influencing the use of, in connection with the construction of buildings that meet the criteria for "Green Building".That is super energy efficient, sustainable buildings, with materials that are readily available through a widespread manufacturing and distribution network, with an ever increasing, knowledgeable, base of "GBIPS" to support their use (That's "Green Building Industry Professionals") eg architects (and designers), engineers, contractors, etc. who are ready, willing, and able, to meet the need, and demand, that we're going to see in the, hopefully, not too distant future. (In my estimation, we've just scratched the surface here, and ICFs and SIPS, in all of their variations, offer viable solutions to the challenge at hand) I think that its a generally accepted premise that those who do nothing but criticize, have little, if anything, of consequence, to offer.

How about it TWR, MY "FRIEND", are you up to the challenge? If not, I suppose that you can continue to post your silly
"firewood, embalming fluid, napalm" comments, but I doubt that you're going to get much more action with this nonsense unless you come up with some substance.

Yes, DWetter, I just constructed a "knock down soap box" with some of my TF display components.

Next.............?

Sipper;

In my humble experience concerning the human race (Both Male and Female - on the subject of right or wrong); I have concluded that it is wiser (this is confirmed by my wife and both daughters) using the phrase "Yes Dear" more often than not; can be quite a positive diplomatic solution. PMS and menopause are not the best factors in holding a logical discussion.

As to your "TF knock down soap box" - wouldn't mind a further positive discussion at all. I'll even bring the "Sippin juice" - (maybe some 20mm PP or PEX tubing as well to go along with the walls) :)

Tesla;

With all that firewood, napalm and embalming fluid flying around; some innicant people might get hurt (i.e. readers that seek alternatives here). I'm sure (with-out exception) that every product has negatives. Should we not seek positive solutions?

The best energy to heat and cool our buildings is the energy that we DON'T need or use!

It is funny that no one here is mentioning the Logix KD system.  We have been using it for a couple of years now and it fits seamlessly with their regular block.  It is very strong and we have used it on commercial stuctures where the rebar schedule did not allow the use of a premolded standard form.  It handles very strong vibration even with high slump mixes.
