Hi,

I am planning a DIY project.

Which book would you recomend as best book to learn, how to build the house (using ICF technology)?

I am from Europe, and here are not many builders skilled with ICF, so DIY sounds like best way to go.

ICF's available are Quadlock, WolfThermo and Isorast. House will have around R36 walls.

"Insulating Concrete Forms for Residential Design and Construction" by VanderWerf

An earlier book on ICF design by a great proponent of ICF use. I imagine Amazon still has it, or www.concreteforms.org or try the NAHB bookstore.

Klemenv;

Are you planning to build in Europe? You might want to check-out www.isomax-terrasol.eu which is very well represented through out Europe - both in the EU nations as well as the former Eastern Block. It would be well worth your time - as this firm has taken ICF's to a new level

In respect to DIY; unless you have a concrete construction back-round (or are pretty handy), I would advise that you seek the help of a professional in the field (at least to consult). The placement of concrete - when done properly is a symphony - when not - it rapidly becomes a circus :)

He has one book online right here.  Don't know if it's that one or not.
