Sorry if I am repeating a previous question, I know there are many posts that deal with pricing ICF block but I did not see much dealing with vertical ICF.  I am trying to get an understanding of what would an acceptable price for a GC to install vertical ICF on a new construction in the Carolinas, but could not find anything that related to my situation.

1st Floor approximately 250 linear feet, 9' high, 6" thick.
3000psi maco mix
#4 bar vertically every 6'
7 windows, front and back door, and (3) 16' garage doors
Quote = $25,500

My basic question is; Does this seem like a good price for vertical ICF?

If that is a turnkey price (installed labor, pump, and all material) based on travel, design, cost of concrete and other materials (which we don't currently know), I would say that its a pretty decent price.

I will state that I am not a virtical ICF guy and do not know which of the vertical systems you are considering. The more information you provide the better advice can be given. You may find someone slightly more competitive, but if you are comfortable with their craftsmanship and the particular ICF system, I don't know why you wouldn't want to move forward.

That being said there's a lot of information that wasn't given in your initial post that could change my opinion.

Thank you for replying renangle.

The system I am considering is TF, but not sure what other information do you think is needed to reach a better conclusion? So far in the meetings with this GC I feel very comfortable with his abilities and honesty. I got to see his house and his fathers house, both he built using ICF. Quality of workmanship was good, I am just trying to make sure the price is in the ballpark.

If that is turn key yes that is a good price. With out knowing your opening sizes it works out to $10.74 per square foot complete. I am running about $11.50 a square foot complete in WI.
If you have any questions you could always call TF and ask them if they have worked with your contractor.

I agree, that is a good turn key price. we commonly use logix block and costs on average are between $10.50 and $12.50 per/ sq ft, depending ,layout, backfill, doors and windows.Is this a above grade walls,the only think that concerns me is the #4 rebar every 6' . MINUIM BY OUR CHARTS FOR ABOVE GRADE 9' TALL WALL IS #4 EVERY 30" VERT AND #4 32" HORZ.
