I would like to know if this makes sense or will work
I am installing the icf connect roof trusses for attaching the trusses to the top of my icf wall.  I had a lift along on wall during foundation pour so that wall is 1 inch out of level.(i dont want any jibes about being out of level etc, i am, and will deal with it, )  My idea is that I will set my icf connect plates in place before concrete is set at the top of the wall.   When I go to install my trusses I will take a laser around and set each truss at the right level, for the ones that are going to be raised off of concrete i will provide a metal shim so that it still bears on solid, and they will all be screwed in using bearing brackets with the icf system. I figure this may be the easiest way to level my trusses.  does this sound reasonable. or does anyone have an easier suggestion.  i thought about cutting into the foam at each truss location prior to pour so that all the connectors were at the right level, but figured the other way was easier.  or i when i go to wet set them i could take a laser and set wet set them at level. any other suggestions.
thanks

Sounds like a tough one - particularly since i'm not sure i understand exactly what your trying to accomplish. I'm not clear on what you mean by "I had a lift along on wall during foundation pour". I'm going to guess this means you wet set your block during the foundation pour and one or two blocks floated? If this is the case why don't you run a laser along the top of the wall and cut it off to the lowest common denominator. If in fact you had a block or two float this would be easier than building up with icf to exactly level?

Also, if my assumption is correct regarding one or two blocks being high (and assuming you desire to use standard wa;; studs internally) you are better off bring the wall down to the original desired height or you'll find your framer has to cut the next size up stud.

The ICF connect system should work fine but I would fix it completetly prior to pouring.

I have been down this road before and got rejected by the building department. The ICF Connect system does not have an ICC approval so the building department required us to lift the trusses, remove the connect units, install a wood plate and use standard Simpson units. What a pain. No financial rebate from the supplier for this problem.
