hi,

new user to this forum.  We (a builder) are building a new house and the builder is using ICF (his first time using them) and I am trying to learn more about waterproofing.  We live in Bozeman MT.  I have been doing a lot of research/reading on line and it appears there are a lot of options.  He "wet set" the first course in the footing in the garage area but "glued' them to the footer every where else.  Would anyone like to add their 0.02 cents worth?  thanks in advance

Hello Slatel,

One of my best friends has a place in Mcleod which is about an hour awayfrom you. Anyway, to answer your question you normally want to use a peal and stick waterproofing system, like a bituthene waterproofing system. You can also use a protect the waterproofing membrane with a system platon...google it. There are other types of waterproofing systems out there, but just be sure that the one you chose is not petroleum based, as it will eat away the EPS.

You may want to search the forum as well, as it has been discussed often.

Best of luck,

renangle
