I am in the process of building a 5300sq' ICF home. My Permacrete installer started the job, took the money and ran leaving my house a mess and stealing $13K... We have been searching fervently for months to find some way to complete our house, get it dried in, and move forward with our dream home. Unfortunately Permacrete is more interested in covering their backside than they are in helping me find an installer to complete my job.
If you decide to use Permacrete make sure you understand the risk. The dirt bag that ripped us off was trained by Permacrete and has no contractor's license at all. We have had several reputable contractors evaluate the Permacrete work and all concur that it needs to be completely re-done. Permacrete will not allow customers to search for or contact their installers they are assigned by Permacrete BUYER BEWARE!!! If you have any issues with your installer or the product you will not get support from permacrete.

Not Permacrete's fault. Sounds like you did your due dillegence after the fact since you found the contractor was not licensed after he left with your money. I just looked at an icf job that was off by 3" from one corner to the other, was this the fault of the icf manufacturer?

You could switch systems. I assume that only the basecoat was done or partially done. switch to another.
