Well I finaly received the results of my blower test on my 2700 sq ft icf bungalow, It received an energuide rating of 86 and had a measurement of 1.16 airchanges per hour
I must say Im pretty pleased as it translates into a 5k rebate

Hi

i'm in Halifax and looking at ICF

Who was your contractor?
Did you find it difficult to find trades that are familiar with icf - electrician, plumber, etc?

Did you price the cost difference between traditional and icf? Was there a difference?
Which ICF block did you use?

Thanks

Jamie

How does that work?

Who does the testing and what kind of rebate is it?

Lbear, its a rebate fro efficiency nova scotia in conjucnction with the federal government through the inistry of natural resources I believe, you must apply before you begin building. There is a list of features that when included in your home will earn points towards a rebate such as ICF construction, heat pumps, solar augmentation, hot water drain recovery etc. In my case a footing to eave icf with ductless minisplit heat pumps got me an energuide rating of 86 and 5800.00
