Part of the exterior ICF wall will be clad in vinyl siding, is there any requirement or need for a rain screen before the siding goes on, recommendations?

Vinyl siding is inherently back-ventilated, and neither EPS nor concrete is adversely affected by the amount of moisture that would get by the vinyl siding anyway, so the whole point behind rainscreeens may be moot. It would be difficult to come up with a construction method more different from the wood-sheathed stick-built that rainscreens are designed to protect. (I haven't looked into how the Canadian national code prescription for 10mm rainscreen are handled for ICF construction though.)

Thanks for the response Dana, I'll be asking the building inspector. John
