Figured I would post up current build. Feel free to join/follow the blog to follow the progress. My wife and I are doing it all ourselves with exception of the main floor electric and service (we will do the basement when we finish it), plumbing, hvac, and drywall (I hate drywalling). Other than that, its all us, family and friends.

If you hate drywall( I agree with you) should use the best ICF coatings, PlasterMax for interior and STuccoMax for exterior. You project is coming along nicely and so happy that you are sharing it with us.

I saw your pictures on GW and wanted to comment, but for some reason I can't log on there anymore. My computer and theirs are not getting along right now. Looks great! I thought seriously about going with a vertical system, but my contractor wasn't interested in working with it, and I didn't want to do my own pouring. I went with Fox, and found setting up the forms to be easy for a DIY. I'll be doing all the rest of my own work, unless I can get a good deal on drywall work.

We're right behind you. My wife is wearing out our home design software with new iterations of the floorplan, but after we visit the site again in two weeks we should be able to see which plan will fit next to the big oak tree we hope to salvage. This is in western VA so I hope it's still standing after Sandy's winds. You've done a nice job on the website.

How did you determine exterior colors? Dave
