Hi All, We have a small construction company in the south that has been doing standard CMU construction for 20+ years. We would like to get started in the ICF and just had a few questions; 1.) If we were to sub it out, what is the standard rate/sft to install and pour the units? 2.) We only have access to Fox Blocks. Do they offer any training courses if we wanted to send some of our staff of to get trained? If not, are there any other private courses? 3.) Would anyone be interested in travelling down south to the Keys to work with our men to train them and/or work with us? If so, let me know your proposals! Thanks!

Why do you feel you only have access to Fox? There are lots of other alternatives to Fox in the South. Although I heard they were pretty much giving their blocks away in order to corner the market, but they are getting an unsavory rep from some of their antics. That said. all of the top tier ICF manufacturers have training programs. If you have a live job and are buying their materials, they should be willing to train your guys for free. Just be a tough negotiator.

No such thing as free you get what you pay for. We have used 5 different brands and you need to have someone who works with it day in and day out if you want to learn properly

Most southern blocks are molded in Orlando and most manufacturers use that plant. If you use CMU than a block like Greenblock's 2-4-2 would work of Reward's e-form. I'm not sure if Greenblock is still alive. 14 below zero last week I'm game for a road trip
