Hi Everyone, question, recently visited a ICF home under construction, the blocks had a yellowish tent, there was what I considered more than normal splatters in various areas, and the foam was making the crackle or popping sound as if it was still settling. This could not have been a fresh pour because the roof was wrapped and only needing the shingled added. Was this a haunted ICF house or is this considered normal.
THANKS! |

The blocks snap, crackle and pop during temperature changes. Once it is backfilled, or finished, whatever, the temperature stabilizes and you don't hear it any more. |

And the yellow tint is from to much exposure to UV rays. It wont turn yellow unless unprotected for weeks and sometimes months. Unless the walls were braced up for that a long period of time, and then poured, it wasn't a fresh pour. Unless the blocks were left over from a previous job. As far as splatter goes, it sometimes depends on the pump operator, and the hose. Splatter isn't a huge deal, a quick pass or two over with a rasper and it should be gone. If its on the exterior, it really isn't a concern, since the veneer will cover it. |
