We just learned that TF Systems now has a new ICF system that allows the use of any foam board that you can source locally. Their new system is called VerticalFoam and more info is available on their website. This new system allows you to purchase 4 x 8 sheets locally and then either cut the required 8” wide vertical slabs on a table saw or purchase one of their hot wire cutters that cut whole 4 x 8 sheets into the required 8” wide vertical slabs. Then you use their existing corners, studs and c-channel to build the system. That way you only have to ship these components and not the foam.
Our biggest issue with TF Systems has been the high shipping cost associated with getting their foam to the west coast. We are not affiliated with TF Systems in any way, but we are always looking for innovative ways to do things better and at lower cost for our customers. If anyone uses this new system, please post your experience. |
