I am replacing my vapor barrier that was poorly done. It did not even go up the walls, all the tape is coming up. Its a redo. I have a conditioned crawl space with the exterior walls made of ICF. What do I use to seal the 12 mil POLY to the ICF crawl space wall? Will butyl tape work? Thank you for your help!

I use a/c mastic on the wall. Apply mastic, pull barrier up just past mastic and secure barrier with a 1x3 placed over the mastic and screwed to the wall. This forms an air tight seal. It's messy but it seals completely.
