The location is N Ga so not really cold country. about a 24 x 34 4" think, I know vapor barrier. was thinking 2' 2" around perimeter near edge, and 2" outside vertical edge. Is this old school are there better build practices that won't break the bank, I'm planning on using SIP construction. What is the code (if any) on rebar size and spacing?

I always try to avoid insulting the slab cause if it gets angry, it might just slab me right back.

I insulted my slab numerous times during construction, but it still turned out okay.
I was worried, though.
