I would appreciate opinions on the validity of this load calculation.  I'm very new at this, and am not really sure I did it correctly.  I would like to use Mitsubishi Mini-Splits for Heating and Cooling - I think.  I'm open to any suggestions.  I plan on working with an HVAC pro, but I want to be sure at least I know enough to be dangerous (or annoying) before I contract any one...

Thanks all!

Particulars:

I have not used that particular program, but considering the design temp for Baltimore is 15°F I ballparked the heat loss at ~7200 windows, 7300 walls, about 4000 ceiling, I took a wag and said 2000 for subsurface walls, and another 3K for slab losses, since it is a walkout and I don't know what is under the slab for 23K Add infiltration, which is A total crapshoot if it isn't measured and I would have half assed ball parked it at 30K.
In part I would have bumped up my guess because with that much glass, the mean radiant temp is going to be low and you will likely bump up the thermostat a bit higher to be comfortable.

In other words, you are in the ballpark, and the inputs don't seem strange.
Cheers,
Eric

Nice drawings, looks like cheif... My rep uses remrate I think. He's tried a few of them, some are buggy and some are not. I like this one you are showing. Some of the man j reports are too much for most people.

Contact the PCA to see if they plan to have an updated version available. Send me a PM about what you learn and we can go from there.
