I am trying to get final construction plans. We decided on a set of plans that we found online that are designed for traditional construction. Initially I was going to ask them to modify it for ICF. Upon speaking with my ICF builder he recommended to get the plans drawn up locally. What are your thoughts? I would love to go with a local person in the DFW area that has experience with ICF. Any resources would be helpful.

@TexasICF did you help them with this plan in building it out of ICFs?

birish,
Hello - I believe I did but don't recall for sure. This was a year ago and we've completed many ICF jobs since then. If you or he needs technical support or other don't hesitate to contact me at www.futurestone.com.
Regards
(Cameron)

Termites? Really. Where are they attacking the home at? In the foam? Did they find a route to interior wood?

EstherBennett, You really didn't answer my questions but rather just posted another link to a pest control company. I don't think that advertising for them here is a good idea. If you can answer my questions that would be good. Termites don't eat ICF foam so hard to believe they would cause any issue. They may start to burrow in it but shouldn't cause any damage. Did they reach some wood portion of the structure?
