I understand that BASF has just introduced a new product called HP+wall system.  Does anyone have any knowledge of this product concerning cost factor, insulating properties, installation, etc? Thank you.

They say it is not a product rather a system/assembly using all BASF products designed to work together. Looks like standard framing with some type of foam board on the outside in place of wood sheathing, spray foam inside. Some sort of fiber insulation on the concrete foundation. If there is no wood sheathing that won't pass in my area where 1/2 ply is necessary.

It looked as if there was some kind of diagonal strapping in one of the videos, but that dosn't look like much shear re-enforcement for a wall panel. I also don't see how they would be getting away without sheathing and still meet code strength requirements. Perhaps that insul panel is some kind of composite/SIP like panel that does meet shear requirements.

Thanks for the response, I personally met with a BASF representative today and got a sample of the wall system.  As large as BASF is, I feel sure that this system using their Neopor (graphite) on the exterior and then their closed cell product between the wall studs has been thoroughly tested prior to be placed on the market.
