We are ready to start building once the snow is out of the ground. Planning in more detail I'm not decided where to place the windows in the buck from the outside foam. The theory is saying, as deep as possible in order to reduce the wind touching/swiping the windows. The windows which I'm using doesn't have the flange and I'll use either vinyl siding or cement boards on Amvic 3.30. I'm not sure what option I've got for siding inside the opening from the edge of the ICF foam to actual window frame if the window is deeper inside the buck. What you guys used? Also, are you using the house wrap material under siding for ICF wall? Thank you for any suggestion.

There are several pages of conversation on where to place windows with strong opinions either way.
If you place your windows interior to the outer foam, will you be allowing a thermal bypass into the core of the wall?
Some would argue that window coverings on the inside of a deep window box will offer more overall thermal protection then the small reduction of wind wash that you might get by using inset windows.
Do you have a good methodology for water proofing an inset window?

If you don't use housewrap, how will you shed water over your window flashings? What will stop any water that gets past your rain screen from getting behind your drip flashings?

Near the outside edge unless you need to install storm or security shutters. Use vinyl wood or fiber cement board to trim the opening either way.
