Posted on behalf of FS Elson Watch out for Jim Marshall and JC Marshall Construction, Merritt Island, Fl. He presented with industry references and a valid Florida GC license. He signed contracts for both plans and construction, and promised to do the whole job in 10 months. He was paid almost $70,000.00 in fees and advances. 10 months later, he still hadn't successfully pulled a permit or shown any ability to actually complete the job. He then said he wanted out, but refused to refund monies advanced. Formal complaints were filed with the State of Fla. Div. of Licensing and the Sheriffs office. He is unresponsive to communication and seems to have disappeared. Suit has been filed against him in excess of $100,000.00. Be careful about hiring him for anything. If it happened to us, it could happen to you. He may still have a license, and had pulled permits for roofing and remodeling jobs prior to screwing us. His whereabouts are currently unknown, but If he reappears, we will advise further
