Hi all-1st time poster here. I recently purchased a lot for building, and I wanted to run my general idea by you guys to stress test it.
My ideal build plan would look like this: a 2 story building, ~ 25'x50-80' footprint, no basement, ICF all the way up. 2nd story would be a separate unit. 1st floor would have several garage doors along the length side of the building(long side would be frontage), one on front and one on back in succession, so with both doors open, one could drive thru the building.
I know that window spacing with ICF requires specific build procedures, I assume due to load bearing. My question: would it be possible to do 2 stories of ICF, if there were 2-3 gaps for garage doors? I'll be seeking contractors with experience in ICF; I'd love to know if this is a possibility. Thanks! -RJ |
