We have a commercial project with 5-6 hundred feet of 10" ICF walls 4' tall to brace. I have Panel Jack and Giraffe and we have in the past used them horizontal putting the base of the turn buckle on the bank at the same level, as they need to be. We can't do that here. Any suggestions?

Brace with 2x4s since no walk board is needed for 4' high forms? Screw a 2x4 horizontal along the top edge of the forms then cut and attach 2x4 kickers at a ~45 deg angle to ground stakes every 4' or so. If possible, brace on the side opposite of the pour so that the guy operating the hose (assuming you are using a pump truck) doesn't have to step over the kicker braces.

Good ideas - I have accomplished both ways - however, my question is “why” can’t you run your stiff-backs horizontally like you usually do?

This works well. Even easier is using a turnbuckle rather than a solid 2x4 at at angle. The turnbuckle is attached to the horizontal 2x4 on the wall and onto another 2x4 extensions (cut to required length). The second 2x4 is fastened to a wood stake. This allows for adjustment after concrete is placed but simply turning the turnbuckle. p.s. Can also flip the turnbuckle so it is fastened to ground with steel pin and the cut 2x4 is fastened to the horizontal 2x4. Either one works fine, but the second option means you have to bend over to adjust.....(first world problem)

we just poured last week 230 ln ft 3 course high. Used Fab-Form Zonts and Zuckles. Worked like a charm. Fine tuned right after pour. Straight as a bullet.

I do like the Zonts and Zuckles for a frost wall, but they are my rentals and were out. Our Panel Jack and Giraffe since made for vertical bracing the turn-buckle to strong-back connection has to be at about 90 degrees. We poured it Monday, about 90 yards of frost wall. We ended up using turnbuckles from a removable form set, attached to 2x4s.
