Any recommendations on a structural engineer that is very familiar with ICF construction? I have my drawings for our new home, but would like to have an engineer design the footings, floor joist system, ICF to Floor joints hanger call outs, wall rebar schedule, and rebar schedule for all the openings. Also needs to beware of earthquake zones as I live in Alaska. Thanks, Justin

I live in NY and any plans over 1500 sq ft have to be stamped by a NY licensed engineer. It might be the same in Alaska. I would ask the local building dept. since they are the ones to say no or yes on your design.

Since Im outside our city limits, I fall under our borough which uses basic standard codes. I can build outside the city without engineering stamps or permits. Not saying I wont build without stamps and/or inspections, they just are not required.
