OK... this is all in the planning stages, hence why I am here :) First the overview, 1. All ICF construction. 2. Total of 7 floors, including the ground floor. 3. The layout of all the floors (except the 7th floor) is like this (mentioning ICF wall-to-wall dimensions) and uses 8inch ICF core. from left to right... 8 inch core ICF wall(exterior wall) > 30ft span/floor > 8inch ICF wall (interior wall) > 6ft span/floor > 8inch ICF wall(interior wall) > 30ft span/floor > 8inch ICF wall(exterior wall) From front to back 8inch ICF wall (Exterior wall) > 48ft floor/span > 8inch ICF wall(exterior wall) 4. Naturally, the floor system would span 30 - 6ft - 30ft walls using the ICF walls as their support. Now my question is, what's the best flooring system to use? I want those 30ft spans. I was looking into lite deck, but was told that there could've cheaper options to do what I am looking at, and a contractor suggested ClarkDeitrich Trade Ready joists. I am looking for a second opinion(s) or confirmation.

I think you have a few more details to consider. Where are you located (ie, are you in a high-humidity area or a termite zone that would negate wood floor systems)? What does local code require for sound/fire rating between floors? Is accommodating in-floor heat lines above and/or electrical/mechanical ducting below the floor system an important consideration for OWSJ vs panels, etc? Is your construction schedule or local climate affecting the ability to place concrete (eg, in cold climates a pre-cast hollow core floor system may be worth some extra cost if it saves time during winter construction). If you are separating conditioned floors you may find the extra cost for the insulation in an ICF decking to not be worth the investment.

Building in the Caribbean. In a tropical climate, the lowest temps get is about 78 deg. And generally humid. As far as building codes go, the only requirement is to not use wood, being that it is a seismic and hurricane zone. I am only going to have to worry about cooling.I would personally prefer to have all MEP connections run under the floor and I am using metal drop ceilings throughout so they are always accessible.
