I am a resident of FL and due to high humidity and insects do not want to build with OSB SIPS.  I have read on this forum and through mftr products of alternates like ACTpanel and Bii.  I like the BII product but to a truckload of mostly foam to Fl can put a hurt on budget.  Main concerns to these alternate methods is the adherence of an exterior stucco (like flexrock).  Anything closer to FL?  My design is two story and I intend on a tradeready steel floor.

We can ship steel SIPs to your site in Florida , freight is running approx. $0.35 / sq. ft. depending on load size and exact delivery location. We ship out of Georgia.
We can assist with all construction details, FL. Product approvals , etc

Ksantella, I am one of the owners at ICS of FL. We are located in Eustis an hour north of Orlando and we produce SIPs made from USG Fiberock which is mold/mildew/fire/termite resistant. Please see www.ics-sips-fl.com and call me if you are interested. I'm sure we can ship to your location at a minimal cost.

Ron,

I looked at the site.  A couple questions, one can you supply drawings re: plan views so I can see how the panels are constructed.  Also, are the electrical chases just cut in the foam or is there conduits placed? How do you protect the panels from being damaged in transport or erection as the fibrerock can get beat up especially at the edges. How tall can a panel be?  Can the system be balloon framed to the roof?  I know this is a lot and maybe we should talk instead.

I'd think steel panels w/ polyurethane insulation would be the best combo. I am interested in a modern boxy loft type home w/ concrete floors. Would commercial contractors take me up on a 3-4000 sq ft home? I'd think the construction cost would be pretty affordable. Anyone have thoughts on this? I am located in Minnesota.
