Does anyone have any info on pest control regarding SIPS, either EPS or Polyurethane? I know about borate treatment, but have there been any studies regarding the success/detrimental effects of this? Also I've heard about using fine metal meshes to deter rodents but I haven't been able to find any specifics. Thanks for any info passed along.

Our panels include borate. It's the same ingedient in BORAX soap, which is probably about 100 years old and has been used for laundry detergent and hand washing.
20 Mule Team® Borax is made of 100% Borax, a naturally occurring mineral composed of sodium, boron, oxygen and water. 20 Mule Team® Borax is not harmful to washing machines, plumbing or septic tanks and does not contain phosphates or chlorine
I keep a box in my house and occasionally dust the exterior perimeter of the house to prevent insect intrusion. I don't know about long term studies? but I think its about as save as ivory soap |

Thanks Chris, are your panels EPS or Polyurethane? Is it possible to manufacture both with Borate?

Drew;
our panels are EPS, I am not familiar with urethane and if it is available, but many EPS panels have it available |
