Hi everyone

I am at the very early stages and looking into setting up to manufacturing polyurethane Sip's
I would be grateful if
some one could tell me what sort of machinery will be required for a basic setup.

I have heard that the polyurethane is pumped between the two sheets of OSB but not quite sure what’s involved or where I may be able to purchase second hand machinery  etc?

Many thanks for your time

Tony

Polyurethane is made by reacting a polyol and isocyanate (MDI or TDI). This complex chemistry and the ratio of the two components is critical if you want to make the 'right' type of foam. You would need equipment that accurately meters the two components and a special hydraulic table to 1) hold the panel sandwich while the reaction takes place, 2) relieve pressure as the foam expands and 3) maintain the overall panel dimension during expansion. I would think that the supplier of the two components would provide the technical support to get you started. I can provide a supplier name, though there are many.
