We are a UK Sip manufacturer with over 30 years in the Industry, imagine our concern when we came across this website of a company claiming to be one of the best sip manufacturers and suppliers world wide.
ESPECIALLY WHEN WE SAW NUMEROUS IMAGES OF OURS AND OTHER LEGITIMATE US MANUFACTURERS JOB SITES, STOLEN FROM OUR WEB PUBLICATIONS

THEY have stolen this companies IPR's so if they are so unscrupulous can you trust them to sell you a genuine SIP ?

sipmaker;

It doesn't suprise me at all, I have found my project pictures on other builders web sites in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and a mfg. in China

I have confronted them, but there is really nothing you can do, once you post online it becomes public property.

From an ethical standpoint, I cannot understand why they would want to mis-represent themselves, so it speaks volumes as to their credibility. Its easier to steal from someone else and ride the coat tails of those who have paid their dues.

That's actually not technically true.  Any content published online is implicitly protected by copyright, at least in most countries.  But enforcing your rights can be rather difficult, especially if the offender is in a different country.  You can apply watermarks to your images, which will be difficult or impossible for them to remove.  Some watermarks are effectively invisible, but can be detected by digital analysis, which is only useful if you intend to follow up with a lawsuit.  It's clearly not worth it most of the time.

rnortman;

yes thats the biggest thing... its not worth the time, a couple of the thiefs told me that they were only giving examples of SIP constrction and not making the claim that it was their own project
but as I explianed to them if its on their web site it is implied its their work

Watermarks are easily added to photos. That will help tremendously. I think some web software provides photo security against copy and paste as well.

It still doesn't stop from drive by photos , which are legal to take from the curbside, or our photos legally posted on SIP or PATH.
Again, it is a reflection of the unethical nature of the people that use them to be deceptive.
