I first got a quote on EPS SIPs early in 2008, now that I'm about ready to buy, the price is significantly higher (~30%). I gather that at least some of this is raw material cost. I heard a theory that it's due to high demand for benzene.
With a large decline in oil prices and demand for benzene (if this really was the cause of high EPS prices) is anyone seeing/expecting a significant decrease in panel costs?
It's only a small order, but I'd still like to place it. I'm sure that the panel builders are hurting and I'd like to move on with the project, but if I can save a (to me) significant amount of money by waiting a month or so I can do that.
Thoughts?

I cannot speak for other manufacturers, but we have not had any significant change in our pricing this year nor do we anticipate any significant changes for 2009. Our raw material prices have fluctuated some - but over all they have remained flat.

I am an osb/eps sip distributor and our price has been flat for the past year as well. More than likley the first time they bid your house it was bid too low. You should get a bid from someone else.
