In very cold climates cold can conduct along the underside skin of a metal SIP roof overhang and into a building. This can be dramatic enough to cause the panel to sweat on the inside of the building causing moisture damage to finishes. A solution to this is to saw cut the underside of the panel's skin at the wall to stop this transfer of cold. The drawback to this is that one has weakened he panel at the overhang. I would like to repair this saw cut with a non conducting structural adhesive tape of some kind. Is there such a product? Does anyone have any thoughts on this condition? Thank you in advance for your input.
