(Ground & 1st floors) There is no problem with the ground floor as we could of built straight off the block & beam ground floor& gone right to the roof.
But we would like concrete (Block & beam) floor on the 1st floor as well. So this will involve building internal walls in heavy duty concrete block/bricks to support the 1st floor block & beam.
Can you see any problems with having a cavity as in the diagram? We was a bit worried on how to vent the cavity & the possibility of condensation build up.
(I know the DP is showing in the wrong place. lol)

Not being an expert - my suggestion would be to fill the cavity with fiberglass insulation, vented to the interrior, top and bottom. I equate fiberglass to a 'furnace filter' - giving a degree of convection, air movement. Possibly, leave an open area, around the wall, at the vent level I also think the foundation should be higher than the ground level.

Mainly to do with sound (Instruments). We cant get the same values with timber.

Have you thought of light-weight concrete ? Or other cement floor alternatives, not to contredict you just no one mentioned it yet. Also cutting sound transmitance can be achieved w/well insul ceiling. Sound will transmit from walking on but almost none going up.
Cheers!
