When is the project going to build?
Do you have any more details on the project?
I like western NC in the spring.

Van,

I know some builders/crews in the Asheville area that may want to be involved. A fully integrated high performance SIP system (most are not) that has tech support included should be dummy proof and not need an experienced SIP team. Be careful of what is not included in different SIP systems. Additional info on your project would most likely get you more responses on this forum.

Hello Van,

I would like to introduce you to SIPs of America located in SW Virgina. We are easy to work with, just send us your prints and we can work up a errected quote. Additionally, we have a framing crew with lots of experience in the Boone area.

Please review our website and contact us for additional information, plant tour, view completed homes or to schedule a meeting.

Best regards,

Connell Rouse

Craig,

I am interested in your comment on fully intrgrated high performance (FIHP) SIP system (most are not).  What is a fully intergrated high performance system.  ANd why do you state most are not?  I am getting bids now and am very curious to your statement.  I would think to stay with the competition most would be FIHP rather not be.

Lisa,

Fully integrated refers to how much work/features have been included prior to delivery to the job site. Electrical boxes and conduit (PVC) already integrated, windows and doors precut and framed, header, rafter and beam pockets integrated, different skin options that can reduce the need for house wrap or for certain construction types. Also, internal cam locks (very few offer this) reducing the need for studs or splines in between panels. Eco-Panels is the only company (patent) offering fully insulated corners so no corner build up is needed. And lastly, an injected monolithic polyurethane core (2x r-value, 2x+ density and much safer in fires) vs an EPS glued panel. I am a fan of SIPS and after 4 yrs researching, I not only decided to build my home out of Eco-Panels, but to represent the company. There is a reason why every leading building scientist I have introduced our panels to, says it's the best they have seen. We are not the cheapest and will never be, but when it comes to SIPS, you really do (or don't) get what you pay for.

How much do headaches and delays cost?
