Here is an example of a metal SIP wall and roof on an ICF basement wall. Notice the metal connectors at the base and top of the wall are not continuous from outside to in. Also a saw cut is present in the bottom skin of the roof panel to create a thermal break. The soffit framing also serves to brace the overhang because it is weakened by the saw cut. The properly detailed metal SIP and ICF basement wall are an ideal cold weather building configuration.
