Mark;  that won't work as ERV has one fan - one motor , if you damper one side you slow the system for intake and exhaust, so preure is still equalized not pressurized

It works with mine, which has separate fans for intake and exhaust.  I think that one is an "Arriva" or something like that.  It's just an HRV and was cheap. 

The ERV (different building) with the barometric balancer is a RecoupAerator.  I'm not sure that they still have this feature, although, like I said, it can be retrofit.  I don't remember if it has two motors.
