The foundation threaded rod embedded by the concrete contractor in the foundation to hold down the sill plate do not protrude enough to accommodate the bottom plates for the planned SIPs. The bolts allow me to place the Strong-Tie square washer, flat washer and nut on the sill plate. But not enough thread to add the bottom plate.
What is the best way to secure the 2x8 bottom plate?
Thanks,

Here is an idea. Get a
coupling nut that matches the size/pitch of the threads on your threaded rod, screw this down on the rod ~halfway, then enlarge the hole in your bottom plate to fit over the coupling nut, then install a short bolt of the same thread size/pitch and square washer and flat washer. If the embedded rod is too tall to get sufficient thread engagement for the bolt, you may have to add additional washers or cut some off the embedded rod.
