I have a question about repairing a roof panel.  A roof leak over many years caused a large area of rot (around 4x4') in a roof SIP under a skylight.  The replacement OSB was not glued down but I realize this should have been done so I would like to get this repaired and done correctly.

I have two questions...

Regarding the glue, I have read several threads on this topic but there isn't a concise answer.  Would something like Enerbond work just as well as an adhesive that coats the entire EPS surface?  I believe Enerbond and PL300 would be applied in rows so not 100% of the foam would be covered.

Also, obviously the replacement OSB would be nailed to our 2x8 engineered lumber splines.  However, would it also make sense to use H-clips or mending plates at the top and bottom of the replaced OSB? Seems something like H-clips would give the OSB added strength.

Thanks for your help and happy holidays.

Glue application should be at least 85% coverage, but since no one on the forum can see the repair conditions. I would highly advise that a licensed engineer familiar with SIPs analyze and recommend the proper repair.
