I have used this system when it was called InSteel.  I can give you some general information about my experience with it.  But to get a real feel for it you need to watch a trained crew install and shotcrete the panels.

One question you might ask this company is what is the whole wall R-value for their system.  I mention this because the wire truss does connect the two wythes of shotcrete.  I have not looked at this system lately but I assume they still use wire trusses through the EPS.  If so, then I guess that another layer of foam could be added over the outer wythe of shotcrete to increase the R-value.  But then the stucco would be attached to the EPS instead of the shotcrete just like the EIFS system.

If you plan to do the work yourself, then you will need some workers to help you and a few tools that you might not already have.

E-mail me if you have questions about this system.  I might be able to answer them.  In the meantime, maybe I will have time to look at their web site to see what has changed in the last few years.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed I have asked that question. I think it is a compromise. The ICF compromise is that the foam is on the inside. The conventional SIP compromise is we are still using wood glued to foam. So it seems like each system has its own compromise. I just like the looks of the SCIP system but don't know a dang thing about it. Potentially looks like a person could give it a go as an owner/builder. I am looking for the company in Mississippi that supposedly makes SCIP panels but a search doesn't pull them up. If I could find a good ICF builder in my area I might back off and go that route. But it seems to me a person would be better off money wise finding a commercial concrete guy with forms, doing a conventional pour then putting a thick foam layer on the outside.
