None of them consider themselves SIPs but IMPs (Insulated Metal Panels) however there is structural data for the panels that can be used to engineer a structure as strong as any other metal SIP. You just won't get any support out of the manufacturer. I recently finished the shell for my house out of Kingspan panels. I set all my connections and supports so that the structure could handle 140+ mph winds. I also sealed all my joints, took structure orientation, sun angles, overhangs, and wind patterns into account so that I can make the house zero energy. |
