i'm not sure this is the right forum thread. Anyway i just want to ask about the seismic design in regards to SIPS and how it apply to northern america. i know the test method is based on the astm e2126,reverse cyclic load to measure the earthquake and wind load. As far as i know the result taken, based on the displacement, the load measurement is in kip which is 1kip=4.45 kN. Here the question, how i do know how many kip the panels can adequately withstand both for earthquake and wind load example for single family house, 1 or 2 storey building. What is the step-by-step on measuring the load or can anyone give me the link that mention the calculations and the step taken? really appreciate it. thanks!

nor; you may want to contact Mike McCarthy at SIP Engineering
they have done extensive seismic analysis for our projects in Haiti
