I've heard various advice regarding sheeting over the OSB prior to putting up my siding. Tyvek seems redundant . One young builder I spoke with said if he were doing his own house he would not put anything between the siding and the OSB thus eliminating any possibility to trap moisture. I'm going with vertical cement board siding, 7" reveal. I've also heard conflicting advice on nailing vs screwing seeing as how SIPS has no studs to hit.

The emphasis on "young" and obviously lacking experience, If you do not put a moisure barrier the OSB will certainly get wet and lead to rot, consult your siding manufacturer's attachment recommendation, theirs are instructions not advice

You are best off using an air gap between the Tyvek and the siding.

You put something like 2" wide strips of 3/8 XPS insulation against the Tyvek/OSB and then apply the siding. This air space allows it to breath and dry out.
